In September this year, a second training attended by representatives of the EMCDDA, Poland and Israel was held in Rome. During the training the Provincial Experts of malopolskie, wielkopolskie and pomorskie provinces presented the Polish experiences in the regional monitoring. Moreover, the representative of the Polish Focal Point (CINN KBPN) presented the Polish monitoring system. At the special request of the training host an additional presentation devoted to legal highs was delivered.

It is worth stressing that the provincial monitoring in Poland has been operating for almost ten years and another in its implementation is the collaboration with the communal governments. Trainings, conferences and seminars for communal governments wishing to participate in the local monitoring system have been organized since 2008. The local monitoring network is managed by provincial experts with the support from the CINN KBPN. Measures are mainly taken in the three provinces: lodzkie, malopolskie and mazowieckie. This year, in the abovementioned provinces, trainings and conferences will be organized for the participant communal governments as well as those wishing to join the system. Towards the end of this year the third national conference for drug problem monitoring communes at the local level will be held.
